Sometimes shaping can be challenge for needle felting. Often it takes a long time to create a nice detailed shape for an experienced needle felting artist. Here I'm going to share a little trick - using a cookie cutter to help. This way, we can easily felt out a perfect shap in a limited time.
Follow the image, I'll show you using a snowflake cookie cutter to create a Christmas ornament in 30 minutes.
Love this idea. It’s a wonderful way to learn felting. Thank you!
After I felted it, it puffed up! Like a mad kitty. Its a good technique just need to do a few more.
I love your blog. I’m just getting started and I’m hooked. Thank you for sharing.
This is absolutely adorable and thanks for sharing.
No a felting needle has tiny barbs, it is what makes the wool stick together….you can get them online if you want to order…you might want.to check.with a local sheep farm, if they sell wool I bet they have access to the needles…..read up you need a couple more supplies as well
I just love what you did. I live in South Africa and have never seen a felting needle and nobody seems to know what I am talking about. What does this needle look like and where can one buy one. Someone told me you could use a very thin crochet needle. Is that possible?

No. You need to use a needle felting needle. They have barbs can come in different sizes. I usually use a 35 for my small Projects.
